If you have diagnosed or undiagnosed ADHD, or live with someone who does, this episode is for you.

Today I’m speaking with Jaclyn Paul, author of bestseller Order from Chaos: The Everyday Grind of Staying Organized with Adult ADHD.

Growing up in a structured environment and other coping mechanisms caused her ADHD to lay dormant until her early 20’s, when her work’s Employee Assistance Program hotline led to her ADHD diagnosis.

We talk about:

her experience being married to her husband also with ADHD and the adjustments they’ve needed to make as a result, such as delegation of responsibilities in the marriagehow to connect with your Why especially when motivation is rarely there with executive functioning challengeshow we can live harmoniously with people who are super visual (and love piles) without having chaos everywhere - the power of baskets!making the container the “bad guy” and using space budgetsthe difference between tasks and projects and how to break down projects effectively so the right things end up on your to-do list

Jaclyn also publishes fiction under the pen name Lena George, where she slyly weaves queer and neurodivergent characters into your next book club favorites. She lives in Baltimore with her family.

Hey there, mama. Are you tired of all the STUFF crowding your home, calendar, and mind? Are your dreams buried under piles of toys and laundry?

Welcome to Moms Overcoming Overwhelm, where you will find proven and practical solutions to declutter your home, head, and heart. If you’re ready to reclaim your precious resources of time, energy, attention, and focus and create the motherhood and life you want on YOUR terms - this podcast is for you.

Hi, I’m Emily - a wife, #boymom, and simplicity seeker. I struggled to get pregnant and felt completely overwhelmed - until I discovered decluttering could create the physical and emotional space I needed to become a mom.

Now, two kids later, I’ve transformed my life and motherhood by developing simple systems around decluttering, capsule wardrobes, kids stuff, cleaning and tidying, meal planning, time management, and more- and I can’t wait to share them with you!

If you’re ready to reclaim the time and energy you crave, be present with your kids, and finally enjoy the life and motherhood you SO deserve - let’s kick overwhelm to the curb, shall we?
Grab your lukewarm coffee, your notebook and pen, and clear off some counter space! Let’s do this.
