‘When was the last time you felt cheated by an image?’ From fake news in photojournalism to profile pictures on dating apps, from internet advertisement to homestay rentals, from image workers to online marketplaces, this series takes the listener through the many ways in which we can be cheated by images.

‘When was the last time you felt cheated by an image?’ Artists, curators, researchers and experts from the field of photography and visual culture share their personal stories and intimate confessions about how images lure, seduce and deceive. Each voice message is accompanied by a soundtrack composed by the musicians Maria Chiara Argirò and Riccardo Chiaberta and inspired by the content.
